Job description
At ExRobotics, we design and build explosion-proof autonomous robots that make hazardous environments safer. As our company scales, developing a reliable product becomes critical. That’s why we’re looking for a Electrical Engineer to strengthen our Development team and ensure our robots are designed to last.
To expand ExRobotics, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer with broad technical interests and a genuine passion for hardware. You will play a hands-on role in the assembly, integration, and testing of our explosion-proof robots. These robots are complex systems that require meticulous attention to detail and comply with the highest ATEX and IECEx certification standards. This position offers the unique opportunity to work at the intersection of hardware and software, contributing directly to innovations that keep people safe in hazardous industrial environments.
As an Electrical Engineer at ExRobotics, you will:
Assemble and integrate mechanical and electronic components of our robot systems
Handle and install electronic components, including PCBs and embedded hardware
Perform functional testing and validate system behaviour
Carry out quality control checks and maintain accurate technical documentation
Perform maintenance on robots at customer locations
Collaborate with software engineers to install and validate software on the robot

Job requirements
Required experience:
• 3–5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
• Experience with mechanical assembly and electronic component handling
• Hands-on experience with PCB design and/or embedded systems
• Familiarity with Linux
• Affinity with software: you understand that hardware and software go hand in hand
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Learning-oriented and proactive mindset
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English and Dutch
Nice to have:
• Experience with functional testing and quality control processes
• Experience with industrial robot assembly
• Knowledge of ATEX certification requirements
